City Inn Westminster Review
City Inn Westminster
On the 18th January my colleagues and I were privileged enough to enjoy hospitality at the City Inn Westminster. On arrival we were greeted by the sales manager Alison Willis. On first impressions it was clear that this purpose built hotel targeted the business market.
It is located next to the Tate Britain and isn’t far from The River Thames, London Eye and The Houses of Parliament to name a few. It has an innovative modern design and was awarded Hotel of the Year 2005.
As I checked in to bedroom I was impressed by its practical layout. I had terrific views of
We were shown around by an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable sales manager. The meeting rooms were very modern and better for lots of small meetings. They also offered the Sky Lounge which is was surrounded by beautiful views of the city. It is great for small evening dinners, informal meetings and for any small event that would need to have something special.
After seeing the venue we then had the luxury of eating at the City Café (which also had excellent views). The food was excellent and the service was great. After enjoying an informal chat about “business” we moved on to the Millbank Lounge. This stylish cocktail bar offers a wide variety of drinks including the award winning Raspberry Mule. It also features an extensive whisky library. The lounge offers a relaxed environment with chilled out music until 2am (residents free to drink until they wish to leave).
In the morning we met at the City Café for breakfast. The continental breakfast was in a buffet format and we ordered the hot food. I have to say, this was probably the best breakfast I have ever had. It is also the first hotel that I’ve seen offer bubble and squeak for breakfast.
