Deafblind UK Conference Centre,
Peterborough
The Deafblind UK Conference Centre is based in a modern and airy building with close road links to the A1 and free parking. The building is innovatively designed in a circle and the layout enables delegates and guests to make their way around the venue with ease.
The building also acts as the Headquarters for the national charity, Deafblind UK and the money that the conference centre generates is donated back to the charity to support people with combined sight and hearing loss. Therefore, by holding your conference or party at the centre you are directly supporting deafblind people in Britain to live better lives.
Our centre is fully accessible for partially sighted, deaf and disabled people with wide corridors, hearing loop systems, and many other features that allow everyone, regardless of their disability, to access the building independently. We also provide Braille, Moon, Large Print or audio literature for your conference or event and sign language interpreters can be booked if they are needed. However, there will be a charge for these services and they need to be booked in advance.
The conference suite can accommodate a large conference or party of up to 200 people but the venue can be divided into 3 smaller spaces that can be hired independently of each other and are separated by retracting acoustic walls. There is a breakout area which is the perfect space to house your welcome drinks or to place your banners and literature stands for guests to read when they are having refreshments. Our centre has a public entertainment licence and can accommodate any type of function. We have a range of equipment that can be hired such as an LCD projectors for your conference or a bar and dance floor for your party.
Our friendly staff will look after you from the moment you first contact us to enquire about our venue through to the event itself. We have taken great care in creating our conference delegate packages and the packages available for our party guests but our policy is to be flexible. If you or your guests have specific dietary requirements or you would like to discuss a bespoke package for your event please do not hesitate to discuss it with our conference staff and we will do our very best to help you. If you would like to view the venue you can call us and arrange a tour.
