Duxford Imperial War Museum, Cambridge
The historic Imperial War Museum at Duxford houses six hangars of exhibitions, many of which are ideal for exciting and interesting events.
The American Air Museum is the flagship of the Imperial War Museum Duxford. The building was designed by Lord Foster, winning the RIBA Building of the Year Award in 1998. The Museum houses an awe-inspiring exhibition of American aircraft from 1918 to the present day, many suspended from the dome-like roof. Our event spaces are literally under the wings of these incredible aeroplanes, allowing guests to feel a part of the Museum.
Dinners as small as ten can be tucked between the aircraft, or as large as 600 can be accommodated with ease. The venue is an ideal location for themed events, from Glenn Miller to James Bond. This stunning venue is complemented by the Land Warfare Hall and the Battle of Britain Exhibition, which can both host smaller dinners of 30-180.
The flexible event areas have hosted evening events as diverse as cinema screenings, car auctions and a fashion show, as well as product launches, dinners, parties, receptions and presentations.
The Marshall Room is a completely new conference venue available at the centre of the historic Duxford site. The fully air conditioned room is ideal for get-away meetings and seminars. Access to the Museum is included and the great location is proving ideal for clients across the UK.
The variety, flexibility and versatility of Duxford makes it one of the most exciting venues for any meeting, unique event or prestigious dinner.
Duxford is also an active airfield, so not only can your clients fly in to any event, but the site also offers pleasure flying, team-building, tank driving and Europe's premier aviation Museum.
