Copthorne Hotel, Reading
Formerly Kirtons Farm Reading, The Copthorne hotel Reading has recently undergone a £3m refurbishment of it’s bedrooms, Waterfront Bar & Lounge and Lakeside Restaurant.
Located on the edge of 33 acres of lake just off M4 J11, this is a truly unique setting for business and leisure. The centre of Reading is just 15 minutes from the grounds of the hotel.
There are a total of 81 spacious and well equipped guest rooms, all of which have a private balcony overlooking the lake.
The Waterfront Bar & Lounge with it’s decked area looking out onto stunning lake views, is open from early ‘till late and serves a variety of snacks and drinks from pasta to panini’s and cappuccino to calvados.
The Lakeside Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner and is also available for private lunch parties or cocktail parties utilizing the lakeside veranda.
Twelve Conference & Banqueting Rooms are available at the Copthorne Reading, catering from small meetings for 2-8 delegates to larger conferences for up to 110 people in the Henley Suite.
The Henley Suite, which offers stunning views over the lake, can also be complimented by erecting a marquee on the adjacent terrace which has proved ideal for parties of up to 200.
External Events/Activity Areas include, of course, the 33acre lake surrounding the hotel. Waterskiing, wakeboarding, Banana boat rides, ringo rides and raft building are just some of the activities you can do on the lake. At Copthorne Reading, we work alongside our on-site based activities company Hi-5! to offer additional indoor and outdoor activities including Human table football, beer-keg racing, laser clay, archery, It’s a Knockout and many, many more for up to 500 guests.
Marquee Sites are available adjacent to the Henley Suite for up to 200 delegates and can be build on our tennis court site for up to 1,200.there are 280 car parking spaces on-site and this can be further complimented by using the park and ride facilities at the nearby Madejski Stadium (subject to approval).
Corporate Hospitality opportunities abound at Copthorne Reading which is close to the Madejski Stadium. Both Reading Football Club and London Irish Rugby Club play in the Premier League of their respective sports (with the addition of top class “Heineken Cup” rugby for London Irish).
