Facility Information
Galton Room
The Largest room in the building in the conference room on the first floor where delegates can be briefed together in the first instance, presented to as a group, or relax between interviews, testing and exercises.
Again the room is furnished to provide comfort, flexibility and practicality for both delegates and assessors including the provision of air conditioning and blackout blinds. The furniture can be arranged to create a lecture theatre style layout, or to provide break out groups. Full AV facilities are provided via the provision of a fold down plasma screen and a CD/DVD player with remote speakers and laptop input.
Schroder Room
Situated on the first floor, the primary purpose of the air-conditioned psychometric testing suite is to provide a facility for up to 6 delegates to conduct online psychometric tests at any one time. The room contains 6 private booths each equipped with a PC that allow each delegate to work in privacy but without a feeling of isolation.
The room double as a meeting room or large exercise room through the provision of a large meeting table and plasma screen to facilitate AV presentations.
Interview Rooms
Half of the ground floor of the Talent Lab is given over to the 6 interview rooms all of which are air conditioned and soundproofed. The interview rooms are designed with both comfort and practicality in mind to ensure that the conditions are created for an engagement giving maximum benefit to delegates and assessors – seating is formal yet comfortable and a whiteboard is provided to enable graphical explanation of complex concepts.
In addition each room can be video enabled to allow the interview to be recorded – allowing later playback for analysis or a simple ‘memory jogger’ for the assessors.
Collins Room
The Collins room on the ground floor is designed with two purposes in mind to maximize the flexibility of the facility. The primary purpose is to give the facilitators the opportunity to discuss/evaluate delegates in privacy throughout the assessment day. However with flexibility in mind the room can also be used as a group exercise or meeting room with a laptop counter and wi-fi access available.
The room is equipped with a large plasma screen to facilitate AV presentations if required and is independently air-conditioned.
Anyone who's ever run assessment centres and development workshops or used off-site meeting rooms knows how frustrating it can be for all concerned if the venue isn't right.
Noisy and inadequate offices, gawking eyes and constant interruptions. And even when you do try to go off-site they're not ideal for ensuring that employees or delegates are in a comfortable environment where they can be at their best.
