Craig Y Nos Castle

Craig y Nos Castle and its stunning location within the Brecon Beacons National Park makes a truly unique venue for any function or event.

Built in 1843 Craig y Nos has a short yet eventful history; originally the country manor of a military Captain before capturing the heart of the leading opera singer of the Nineteenth Century, Madame Adelina Patti in 1878. Madame Patti made extensive alterations to the Castle including the addition of her own private theatre, which is now a Grade I listed. The main Castle building itself being Grade II listed. After Patti's death the Castle became a TB hospital, remaining so for 60 years before becoming derelict.

Craig y Nos Castle is now a thriving hotel and functions venue. The very rooms which once played host to the elaborate parties of an opera diva can now play host to your very own function or meeting. You and your guests can then spend the night in one of our En-suite rooms, many of which have recently been renovated, and take in the welcoming atmosphere the Castle has to offer.
